Saints on Walls — Order of Appearance
The full-stature and half-stature saints and medallions have a traditional order of appearance.
The lero/Sanctuary....................................Hierarchs and Deacons
Side Walls and Back Wall, from
front to back: 1) Kings and Queens
2) Soldiers
3) Martyrs
4) Blessed Lives
5) Monastics
6) New Martyrs
Saints which go together, such as Sts. Constantine & Helen, take up a double space (& cost). Feel free to ask about other combinations/groupings of saints.
Please note that oftentimes different saints can have the same name. For example, there are a number of Saints named Catherine. So even if St. Catherine of Egypt is already donated, there are other St. Catherines that can be requested.
Among the many saints, here are a just a few names that can still be donated:
Peter Barbara
Paul Irene
Stephen Julianna
Thomas Elizabeth
Mark Margaret
John (Evangelist) Eugenia
Luke Anna
Gregory (Palamas) Kaliope
James Agatha
Anthony
Saints can be of any ethnic background, as long as they are Orthodox. Usually, all the saints before the creation of the Latin-Catholic Church (1056 A.D.) can be included.
Parishioners have already sponsored some saints from different parts of the world:
Nina of Georgia Xenia of St. Petersburg
Bridget of Ireland Sergius of Radonezh
Patrick of Ireland Paraskevi of Romania
Martin of Tours
Among others we could include are:
Moses the Ethiopian Boxer Rebellion Martyrs of China
